one80 Sport & Fitness started out as Highland Strength & Fitness in Andover, Massachusetts in 2001. Highland Strength was primarily a "personal training studio" catering to one-on-one personal training clients and a small number of select athletes. We quickly reached maximum capacity for this location. The decision was made to add high-end sport performance to our offerings. Therefore we teamed up briefly with world-renowned strength coach Charles Poliquin. This move entailed moving to our present 20,000 square foot headquarters in Wilmington, MA. Soon thereafter we put into place a membership option and the subsequent name change to one80 Sports &Fitness in September of 2006.
