The Center for Health & Athletic Performance, Inc. was opened in 1984 by
Larry "Doc" Warnock, a nationally recognized sports massage therapist and

After helping many athletes recover from injuries and answering hundreds of
questions about conditioning, nutrition, careers, and college searching, Doc
created this website. To date, the site has been visited by thousands of
athletes, coaches, parents, and others who work with athletes.
In 2000, Doc established The Student/Athlete Educational Foundation, Inc., a
non-profit division of CHAP. SAEF designs and develops educational
materials for student/athletes; provides resources and materials for coaches
and families, and publishes newsletters for athletes, coaches, and athletic
trainers.
